D-9

I went Lotusfive Star Cinema last Sunday with a pair of frens. This is the 1st time in this year i went to this Cinema...not sure when was my last visit to this cinema, but definitely was far before they renovate and replaced by Lotus Five. It was called Metrowhealth and Riverside Cineplex long ago..... which i'm sorry to say hate going. Too many dissappointed visits there, the culture there are different, the quality are poor; imagine watching movie half way you are like watching charlie charplin show... "Muggles" throwing rubbish over your head, kicking chairs and so on...

After this new company took over, they did a massive renovation, reconstruction....well at least most of it are different now. I like how they build the exit, i somehow felt "mid valley like" yeah...exactly,the back tunnel.

They have improved the seats, more comfortable, cushioned handle somemore. They have improved their flooring, their sounds system and even ticketing system. They are still currently under construction, on the exterior, the corridor and entrance, they sort of need to move around while i was queeing for tickets!!!

Ok, let's not get too far from the topic.

District 9 - Peter Jackson's latest creation.
Comparing to United93, D-9 is more pleasant watching.
You wont feel really dizzy at least for me....my fren do felt a bit dizzy at time....
But for me, it's perfect! it's portraying a documentary but it's less uncomfortable.

D-9 is a futuristic film, aliens inhabited earth under control by the Humans. They are only allow to stay at certain District under human's surveillance. Wikus from the MNU was on duty to request signature from Aliens in the District 9 for relocation agreements when all it begins..........

Wikus was infected from Christopher's 20 years of hard work saving some kind of fluids in order to fly the spaceships activating the mothership so they can get back to the space for help. Wikus is changing, MNU needs him as a "life" specimen for investigation and experimentation which is somehow cruel and inhumanity. Wikus escaped, without any other choice, he has to help christopher and believes he will come back to help him turns back to a human.

For not spoiling it, I shall stop by the ending and ;) let you watch the rest on your own.

最近在28屆香港電影金像獎奪的最佳影片,最佳女主角等等的一部片子...
人家常說...得獎的電影不能看... 太文藝了...哈哈..

Ten Inch Hero

It's a movie about a group of friends working in a sandwich shop, seeking love of their own finally revealing their true selves. It's a very interesting movie.... when Piper looking for a job in this fast food shop labeling "normal people need not apply". Trish, Priestly,Jen, Tucker and Piper are mostly special, some call them weird, but they all are really nice and kind type above all, their living with a story behind.
Trucker is the owner of the shop, he's a cool guy, secret admiral of Zo the witch across the shop.
Piper is looking for her child, adopted to a couple while they went out of contact two years after the adoption...
Trish hook up with almost every good looking single lads, she's just someone who cannot trust true love, she'd rather use than being use....
It's funny how things turn out to be..... just wish that story like that is happening real life.
Priestly is very cool guy, with tattoos, piercing, mohawk....etc....

The Real Bedtime Stories Now. ;)

Bedtime Stories and Inkheart got something in common. Bedtime Stories became real!!
Adam Sandler aka Skeeter Bronson the Sir Fixalot of Nottingham Hotel experienced his most of the important week of his life - baby sitting his niece and nephew.
Everynight, uncle Skeeter will tell bedtime story for the kids making out with his life, but stories he tell isn't really "happy ending" fairy tales for the kids. The kids would rewrite the stories and guess wat?? it's happening in real~~ hokey pokey dance, raining gummy balls, dwarfs and undermiaciated... ;)
Get a laugh, enjoy it ^^

ps: I love Bugsy - The guinea pig, I love him so much :p so adorable, especially with it's eyes XD

Inkheart (2008)

It has been awhile since my last movie......
I just watched Inkheart - A German version of Harry Potter they said. That's the first intention that caught me watch it. Second, it's Fair Tale, Third, it's Brendan Fraser~~~~
Now, German version of Harry Potter, does it means as nice as it? or as famous as it? or as acceptable as it? i dont know, u be the judge.

Mortimer, Mo is a book doctor, aka silvertongue, he's gifted- meaning, books that he read out loud, he can bring the character/scenario alive. Poofff!!! Cinderella is in front of you.... but!! somebody has to go inside the book~~
Mo was telling bedtime story "inkheart" to her little girl.... first he brought Capricorn out, a Valiant Duke(portray by Andy Serkis!!! dunno who? Gollum u must know from Lord of the Ring) and also Dustfinger, the one who save his life...... but at the same time, Mo has sent Resa; his wife into the book.
Mo never read out loud ever since..........

Many things has been brought out from books, Unicorn, Flying Monkeys, Minataur, orcs and crocs.... the only thing is that it was brought out by a stutter reader..... ;) so the character was a bit crap up... haha... Capricorns, Dustfire etc are seeking for silvertongue, seek him to read..... to get somethg they want, and Mo, searching for a copy of inkheart for 9 years, in return of his wife...............

Supernatural

A friend lend me 4 season of SUPERNATURAL...which i'm kinda addicted to it.... it is scary? yea, i would say so....it's sort of bringing the legend to live.... although i was joking to a friend saying, i guess their father is yet to be found, not until season 5....haha..but, i think it is the truth of this whole misery instead.
It is quite nice...if you like some "hunters" movie, or "ghost hunting" to be specific.... go for it...5 season nia mah.....
i'm still with season 1, pretty much of monster,ghost,exorsist action..... on top of that, Dean and Sam have good abs. *giggles

Fireproof

ok...first of all... I'm not a religious person.......
Despite the strong religion aspect in this movie, i strongly recommend this movie to all my frens especially if you're married.... ;)
I'm not on the path that only by believing in god will allow u understand the meaning of love. I think the belief is just a tool of Love instead of Love as a tool to know god....
I mean, every religion serve the same purpose which is to educate, but it is easier to understand with the guidance of believes.

Michael demonstrate the salt and pepper theory to Caleb.. but i do understand certain ppl will go on picking if they choose not to believe....

During the failing of relationship, Caleb claims that Catherine is too sensitive and, "doesn't show me respect," whereas she tells her hospital co-workers that he is, "so insensitive," and that, "he doesn't listen to me," and, "doesn't understand my needs... [Does that reflect any of u?]

Slum Dog Millionaire...

This is a hollywood film, altho all of the scene is Mumbai base, but it doesnt feels too bollywood.... film started Jamal being interrogating with violence on cheating in the indian version of Who wants to be a millionaire. he tells his story of how he get to answer those question as a slumdog without any proper education...which seems to be coincident to know the right answer.... this is when the flashback started in his childhood..... This story is not only about a Millionaire.... but it's about love he's looking for....which makes him a millionaire....
The director never forgets to add in the typical dance in the end of the movie...and Oh. My~ Gosh~ Jamal dance so well.... a very different side of this Character..lol...



The Coffin
A believes of the thai on cheating death on this ritual brought some breath taking experience to both of them.... altho it doesnt happens at the same time, but it looks like it is...
Well personally thinks that it is ok, not as scary as i imagine.... kinda predictable most of the time.... but certain things doesnt make any sense to me.... Su's husband was in HK, met an accident, and she was at his funeral, but like she never went back HK yet.... and where exactly was that?..... i was confused...



The Saw V.....the jigsaw pieces continues after the Dr. dies... this has got into a worst situation when it comes to the inside job.... not gonna talk too much abt the stories, as it links from 1-5, but i heard the 6 is the final one...
Anyone who watch the first few episode would know what type of movie is this....
every moment for the hostage are just..eukkk, awww, ouchh, ooshhhh......
dont watch this movie if the smell of blood causes dizziness.... hehe...

The Butterfly Effect
I like the idea of the butterfly effect. But both stories have got the same ending..... which is both doing for the good of their love one.....friends, family, or lover..... You get selfish at first, when u want to "own" someone or something....but in the end, you see what happens when u get what you want.... you need to sacrifice a lot...
If only we could turn back time....
but the tricky part of butterfly effect is...you know the consequences immediately after you made the decision.... it shows perfectly well when he was doing the effects on his bed....when he wakes up, he was in a total different situation... cool....
now i know what eeli meant... the butterfly effect... LOL...
The Butterfly Effect 2
Comparing with the first movie, butterfly effect 2 is less "scaring".... cos the differences of life were shown perfectly well with the contrast shown..... what happen in ur childhood makes you into what you are and who you are.... butterfly effect 2 time line were short..thus the effects werent as much as such.

Into The Wild

I felt so down after watching "Into The Wild" by Sean Penn........
I felt so sad with the end of Christopher McCandless aka Alexander Supertramp.
He is a man with such a quality character.... definitely an intelligent man... I admire his braveness and spirit achieving what he wants out of his life....
This man walk into the wild, donate his entire 24K in his account to OxFam, burn his cash, left his car, burn his ids, thrown his cards after he graduate from college....2 years of expedition, he make it to the north- Alaska.
He found this "magic bus" and lived in it....and this is where his corpse was found too.
He wrote "Happiness is only real when shared"
He carved "Two years he walks the earth. No phone, no pool, no pets, no cigarettes. Ultimate freedom. An extremist. An aesthetic voyager whose home is the road. Escaped from Atlanta. The Polar Express
I know I'm a kinda outdated....since xmas passed long time ago....and this animation was long time ago too.... Somehow i couldnt get this movie out of my mind every xmas since the release till my last xmas, i missed it, i wanted to watch it, until i watch it was more than 5 years....
I finally sat down for this nice animation and.....yea, pretty predictable... but somehow weird too..... it feels like.....kids being kidnapped from town to meet the santa and elves....then being sent back again within.......errr few hours?? 12 midnight was the time he hop on the train... but back before the next first light...from the america to the north pole... hmmm....
anyway, i do like the "spirit" and the "tickets"...hehe... "blue coat" - this is how i name the conductor on the train.....especially when he punches tickets...hahaha...wicked~
I do love the spirit of "believing"... I believe that is wat we need to believe....especially fairy tales are so much destroy by "science" and "humanbeing" nowadays......

It's xmas eve....Angela is still in office rushing for the documents to be fax...... When she finishes work ready to leave the building for the family dinner.... her car she parked down the P2 carpark couldnt be started... This is when the terror starts.
Exits were all locked, everyone left home for xmas and trusted security guard were being sorted. It turns out that Tom, the Carpark security guard has been planning all these by observing Angela for some time. Tom is a psycho....several times of emotion explosions under pressure.....
I think this film is trying to be as cruel as can be with all the "painful" scene....the broken finger nail, where Angela needs to pull her nail off......the abdomen and body organ squeezing out, the head crushing, the stabbing to death on the dog.....eukk.... extremely awful i must say.....
Angela being potray as an independent lady, workaholic, and she demonstrate a extreme calm and rationale lady as well..... it was a one on one situation, the only way to get out from P2 is to kill ur enemy.... she did it....and did it well... i believe anyone who watch it will applaud wat she did to him. Bravo.

Troy
I never expect the war started from "jealousy" or "woman".... But to the king of Greek, this is just the spark that causes the fight.
Achilles is definitely unbeatable, but in the end, i too must say becos of the lady of his that causes his life.....
I was so touch by the act of King of Troy, Hector's father... the night Hector lost the fight, he sneak into Achilles tent begging him for Hector's body....Achilles claims Hector kill his cousin, his father told him "he thought he was you. how many cousins, brothers, fathers, you have killed?" Achilles was stoned. He says, tomorrow morning you are my enemy, the king says "tonight you're my enemy, but there's still respect between enemies..... he deserve a warriors funeral, let me wash his body, let me put two coins on his eyes....." the love of a father touches Achilles entirely....
Anyway, i thought the Trojan was build with solid structure where they spend time sculpturing it instead of a Trojan that was build with ships wooden plank and logs like dat... but it was amazing... the believe of gods beat the Troy down.....

Life seems pretty simple for a lady during the time in Europe.... All they look for is to marry an ideal gentleman with a perfect background.... i think it's very much on love at first sight for most of them..... doubt that many will have the same experience with Elizabeth.... i guess most of them missed their first meeting, they missed it for life....

I never had the interest of watching it until i found out it was based on true story and it is about what it is about.... LOL..
btw, i thought he was Josh Harnett :P actually...Jim Sturgess.... haha
For those who never heard of it......here's a quote from Wikipedia

The movie started when Ben being interview for Robinson Scholarship.... being question what has he done in his life and the story begins.......
Kevin Spacey as Micky, one of the professor in MIT, invites Ben to the team and continues their card counting game in Vegas making big money....
as usual, appetite grows with the increase of $$..... not everyone can control themselves.....
but.....why on earth you keep the money on the ceilings....not just money..it's Ks and Ks of money.................

I love it when the movie close with the Dazzled Scholarship administrator... lol

The Bourne Series

A one go of The Bournes' Movie is definitely a adrenaline rushing experience one after another.....
well... it's all about Bourne's identity....
You trained the killer, it only ends when the killer kill the trainees.
I'm not sure if there will be more The Bourne sequel, but definitely not from the original writer Robert Ludlum, i guess Bourne Ultimatum is the last for the Bourne Series from Ludlum, Eric Van Lustbader came out with The Bourne Legacy, The Bourne Betrayal, The Bourne Sanction and The Bourne Deception. Not sure if it's similar to RObert Ludlum's novel... but i prefer this Ultimatum as an end of it...

The Chase to Bourne is endless, everything bourne do serve a purpose without a single mistake. This is very interesting to me..... I want his Brain. XD
everytime i see him jumping from roofs to roofs, balconies to balconies, i cant stop imagine the next scene i see is "poof", he fell over... lol...
In The Bourne Ultimatum finally clear up Bourne's amnesia....... flash back of what and who he was, the cruel test....somehow i felt it's not what he wants....i guess he never expect what his sacrifices will leads him to..... murderer....
A must watch if you like Spy Film :D

The Triangle (2005)

I think this is the first time ever for me to watch a 5 hours duration movie.....

I was attracted by the story when i saw this trailer, the mysterious Bermuda Triangle.... this movie is wicked....
4 professionals being hired with 5 Million each to search the answer of missing planes and vessels occurred in the Bermuda Triangle... Hallucinations and being in a different timeline at the same time, hallucinations are no more hallucinations, they are real....
I wonder if it's real for the real bermuda..... I'm curious......
The witness of 2nd world war pilots and Columbus ship & crews..... the old lady who was 2 hours ago a 6 years old girl..... Wicked...

What is the real explanation to Bermuda Triangle?

last week, my frens jio me watch quantum of solace with her complimentary tickets... ^^

but what excites me more was tat i saw this one trailer....a familiar image...an AMBIGRAM!! i was like OMG, then i saw Robert Langdon, double OMG, i whisper to my fren. softly but loudly "HEY, ISNT THIS ANGELS....." and the screen shows ANGELS & DEMONS!!

my god.... this will be the first movie i "read" before....yea, u know, i'm not a book person...i dont read...other than the few novel during my "disconnected" period in birmingham.... Angels and Demons is one of them, and i was deeply in love with ambigrams..its amazing... somehow something out of my ability to design..... i'm actually looking forward for this movie....altho i know movie will never beat the book, believe me, oneselves' imagination is always far better than creation of another.... unless it beyond what is written... ^^

Atonement (2007)

I've just watch Atonement (2007). It was actually a story from the British writer's award winning novel Atonement (2001). I like the story...seriooously...very nice....altho i hate the reality in it. but it's just a sad nice story.

Kiera Knightly.....cant argue she's good..she's sexy and great actress.... remember the scene she took off and jump down the fountain... and that's where Briony - played by the young Saoirse Ronan... make her own story up...

The day Briony apologize to Cee in her apartment while she sees Robbie walking out gave me a relief at that time.... but somehow, revealing the truth that Robbie never return to Cee in the end was just heart breaking.......and how Cee ended....double heart breaking....But these are incompareble to Briony's mistake that she never be able to atone......... She did best what she's best with.... writes.................

Mad Detective...Prison Break

I kinda like this film... i like the detective's mentality in this movie...it's cool....really cool...
i mean, he cut his ear down for his sir as a gift... cool eh? now come on, we all like mysterious movie eh? my frens do..... but we not psychopathic yea... how cool it is if u got a fren like him, seeing everybody's ghost...ghost which means the "devil" inside one selves.. it is true...and it is exactly how ugly humanity is.....

I have been chasing prison break for a couple of weeks.... erm, we all know it's normal to be chasing it, cos it's a 4 season drama series, now everyseason has got at least 29 episode...which makes 4 seasons........ yea... u do the maths...
i knew i'd like this drama, that's why i never wanna plant myself in it when i was in Birm. that was the 1st season when i was there, everyone in highstreet talking abt prison break, but i decided not to be one of them until... recently

now Michael Scoldfield is superb genius, he has a gift of exceeding rate of EQ, but bare in mind, this got them insane easily, unless they get a hold on it..... i admire him for the work of art and the mind he has got.... and one thg that will stay in mind forever, the famous body tattoo.....

3 mins of phenomenon at the beginning.... so it must has got somethg to do with the weather??

Me and bro thought it was Matt Damon at 1st....wondering how come he look so old...and wondering why his act became this..."normal" in some ways... end up....oh.....Mark Wahlberg..... lol...

Written, produced and directed by M. Night Shyamalan's. M.N.S. typical style, he has to be in the movie...either in appearance or voice... haha.. this time he's playing Joey's voice...

From the 1st act of suiciding pocking through her neck till the group suiciding with pistol..... each of them were such an impact till i still remember how they die....... but the creepy part is when u see everyone stop moving, and seeing someone besides u killing themselves....even dropping themselves down the building.... my gosh, it's like almost dead by just observing how they died....

but..... it's nice to die tis way huh? painless, numb, and quick

The Mummy 3

"他是不是放錯戲? 他是不是放錯戲?" the stranger besides me keeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep asking her bf at the beginning of the movie.... this movie started with the chinese emperor... Jet Li-the king with his adviser briefing on the incoming war..... very much laughter in the cinema...cos they have got nice humor in it... screen play is good, cos none felt bored in between.... which is... impressive... although the story line is a bit Sei kia...which is... straight forward to be nice...lol... but, it is pretty cool... sorry batman, mummy won this round...LOL

他在<原來愛上賊>的角色太酷了..... 這20集長的劇集還不錯看哦.....

如今在陪我工作的是Prison Break.....哈哈哈....我漸漸熟練的一心二用...哈哈...
