Lundu Trip

My last weekend getaway was a total relaxation!!!
Nice cozy bed, soft lovely beach.....pool....night view.... junks....etc etc etc....

Our Junk - other than the beer, the rest were like extra...we actually was having nice meal at the canteen....so in the end, we brought back a lot of junks. LOL.....

Cool Lane

The first thing i fall in love with when i was 1st in Birmingham is actually the Canals. One of the coolest lane in Birmingham. There was a canal right behind my hostel, everytime i look out the window, i can see the peaceful traffic lane. Red light is always on, only turns green when you want it to. I enjoy seeing people going steps by steps passing by the canals, boats were made exactly the size to passby the small canals, and boats can even be their camping tent.
I love the feelings having a little canal behind your house, parking your boats next to it, travelling with it house to house.... you dont have to worry about parking tickets and traffic jam. Nicely painting boat, it's like how you mod your car.... pace is slow, but it's great. How nice......

Jambu

I had a very satisfying dinner@Jambu with my friends last month. (my bad, didnt blog it out earlier) We planned to go pizza, but we weren't lucky enough as a fact that the pizza shop was close... (didnt open after since)

ok, after we pick a nice corner, beverage ordered, we ran down the menu picking each of us a main course, then we started to go tru Tapas, salad and so on.... Was it 8 or 9 dishes that we actually ordered? 9!!!! big portion food.... The quality of the food is absolutely superb. I love many things from there, the mussles, the creamy bread (forgotten the name) with mushrooms on it....*drooling.... the ceasar salad, the nachos.... Oh~ My~ GOD!!!!!

We got ourselves so full even before our MAIN COURSE serve. Can you imagine how we ended? yeah...deep xxxx.....

But it was really satisfying.... Such a pain in the wallet, but i think my taste buds are loving it. haha

Grap!! Grap!!

Polar was such a good companion when we visit his house - Ikea..... he even join us during our tea time. LOLz..... This was taken the previous visit to KL. i was at Ikea with the "Ngiisss" and Polar decided to sit with us...RoRo is too nice to treat him the muffin... talking about Ikea.... It's like the one of the "must visit" place in KL yea? I still remember 2 years ago or a year and a half ago, the trip be4 this to KL....we had a tea as usual in Ikea during our visit there... and...there was this new item by Ikea. (I dunno whether i post this or not yet....but...it's just somethg me and my fren would never forget..hahah...) This new item...It was a baby napkin... and it is creatively inspire by a frog... a frog looking upwards, mouth open...clever.... so...imagine- in case your baby drop his/her food, it makes it easier for you to clean up. and with the frog, we give it a name... "Grap Grap"

Ok. now you have the idea what this things looks like...here is what i saw next
Me and my fren were drinking....and we were chatting...and this green little thing is too attractive... and of cos, some parents bought them and even start using it at the cafe... a father was feeding his baby...with "grap grap" on....we saw how the food drops... and we were watching at how useful this napkin is...and we started to imagine what will happen next... my fren was saying.... "the food drops, and later the father pick up and eat..." right after my fren finish his sentence, it happen as it was... the father really pick the food up from the frog's mouth and eat!!!! for goodness sake...how gross???!?!?!?! i mean...it's suppose to be "normal" yea, i agree...but watching it happen in public is so so so uncomfortable... especially food from baby's mouth, to the frog's mouth and to the dad's mouth...and PLUS... "wat if the baby pukes into the frog mouth and the father picks up and eat it?" omg....who ever pointed this out is so sick!!! gross... *!&@#*)!^$@#%!@ eukkksss I should say, visiting Ikea is always an unusual kind of visits. :)

Damai Again ^^

A fren was visiting Kch last weekend, we brought her to visit this Cultural Village and enjoy the 2D1N stay @ Damai Beach Resort.....
The typical performances....Nyajat,melayu,melanau, and also the kelabit warriors....
walk around experiencing the art culture and people of Sarawak........I remember this was taken at the orang ulu's longhouse.... orang ulu's longhouse normally built in a certain height, like 10 to 15 ft if not remember wrongly..... there's a lot of this handcraft sape and musical instrument in progress there.

and with all of the activities and things we met there, the one i really miss............

And finally..... Damai with GREEN!!!!!How could we miss the chance to go down the beach!!! of cos NOT!!!
it was TOTAL RELAX!!
we enjoy very much...we went down the pool, for an hour or two, then down the beach, then back to pool, i join the other fren again at the hill top pool again for another hour or two..... it was.....crazy....
This trip we spent the night at hill top, deluxe room is really big, nice...comfort...and the hill top pool is nicer too.... the sea view from the hill top pool is...wooo..... relaxation...

After a week plus of bzbzbzbzbz..... finally....back here :)
i always found tones of webby, interesting one, bookmarking them...and save it for the next night or next day. but the weird thing is, everytime i sat in front of my monitor, i've got xN things to do.....i never get to open a single webby to read thru and it will stay in my bookmark forever. lols. so i never get to read them at all....damn...i hate it, but there's nthg i can fight over some stuffs on my desktop other than "firefox"

I accidentally loaded this one single video in youtube 2 days ago. "dumpling eating competition" it looks like a bunch of friends (most of them angmo) sitting outside a dumpling stall...ordered hundreds of dumpling.6-8 of the boys challenge to eat as much dumpling as possible in 12 mins or so.... and the weird thing is, that particular video brought me back to birmingham......it reminds me of the winter of birmingham...which i really miss it now.... i dunno why...i dunno why it reminds me to the winter in birm. not any brummie, not any dumplings..... i just love winter. altho it freezed me a lot.... but i just love it. imagine the cold bed u sleep in at night.....the next morning.....it's still cold... then, u'll know exactly how nice it is inside our warm bed everymorning,maybe u've always know that....

After Three

Cai.....update u a bit of new places in kch.... =P
I took this like...months ago, but never get a chance to post it, this is a new places, ya, i mean like few months ago...LOL, sorry that i couldnt remember the taste of the food, but this is definitely a place that i will be going again..... and so...the nice design, clean place, and varieties of food do attracts me.....
This is just one of the type of the tables and chair there, they've got few types...and below, are just food that we were taking.....

according to one of the interviews, the owner got this idea of the shop is bcos.... in Kuching, when u feel like eating something around 3pm or around late afternoon, it's a challenge to find a cafe to have good food, so he opens this After Three to provide food from early morning to late night....
I cant say they serve the best food, but at least they sell reasonably nice food..... u gotta try for their best ;)

nice sofa, nice chair, and nice "thud"...haha..thud....i'll tell u bit more later...
but i guess it's too hidden la...although u see the signboard easily, but it's just not attracting enough, where this maybe the advantage for most of us, we dont want to be seen...hehe...

ok, regarding the "thud", tat was funny, we went in, we were deciding which type of chairs we should go for, there are 3 types basically, the tall one, with a small table, where we gather closer to each other, the sofa; 2-3 low soft comfortable settees, with a coffee table; and the bench and chair with a rectangular big table....so we go for the last one, the bench is attached to the wall, with a soft,velvet back, and so ping sit inside, i took the chair and mel followed in ping with a loud "THUD", she sat down wayyyyyyyyy too hard!!! till u heard the "THUD"...hahahahaa... we just cant stop laughing, she thought it's velvet seat as well, who knows it's the hard wood board type...LOL, that was so funny, cos she was trying to pretend nothing happen, and "as if" we never heard her....oh dear the tea house is so quiet, the time we hop in was just their 2nd table.... that was our 1st laugh...ping added, "i've got my own cushion, but not u..."

after ordering some hot and cold, we thought we should take a picture for cai XD, so we start to get a nice corner, but with the poor lighting, it's hard not to get someone to hold the camera..lol, the funniest bit was mel trying to set up the timer camera on the cushion and by the time she press the activate button, the phone go forward as the timer went off..lol

we had a great time there, cant remember when was the last time at least four of us met, always three.... never four, not to say five.... (we're waiting for you, as u can see.....) lol
we had a long night, we had a lot of fun, we even had a good time taking the shots, it just too damn dark for taking pictures, especially with a handphone...LOL
