i love this song, i had it in my phone when i was in uni, more than 3 years now, i still have it. i've heard version over versions, every time he sang it, it's diff. he might have more than hundreds of ways to sing it, but they are just as nice as it is. humorous, awesome genius.... yet to mention his other wicked song.... just love his talents so much.... lovely.

Rainforest World Music Festival 2008

One of the stupidest things i've done during this Rainforest was.... I forgotten to charge my phone!!!!!!!!!!!

So when i was about to take the above picture once we stepped in, the first thing my fren asked me was... how come "Low Batt" lol.... nice...so then...without a doubt, i did not take many photos... I was planning to bring along my alpha, but it happened that my fren was thinking to make a trip to the beach@damai, without knowing we were actually blocked and forced to park in Santubong...... it spoiled the plan, but yet i did not regret for not bringing my alpha, cos we were reaaaaaaaaaally WET that night...LOL...
The stupid bridge..sorry if i offended the pioneer...but, it was a joke. I called it the stupid bridge becos.....we were suppose to take a look around when we see this bridge that leads us to the other side, we took it, and we missed what we suppose to be "looking" all the way from a to b...lol, but of cos, that was just the beginning....
we joined their workshop, erm....basically, the workshop starts from 2pm, 3 session, once every a hour, all the way to 5/6pm. There are 3 workshops every session....so it's like we gotta choose one for each....we went into the theater at the beginning.....but we change our mind and left to see something "extraordinary"
It mentioned something about "not your average" on the timetable, so....we thought it might be interesting,and luckily, it was really interesting....

This cool guy is from Philippine, he's playing the "puh-sa-pe", very close to Orang Ulu's "Sape"-pronounce as sa-peh, a kind of traditional guitar....but this one is the kind of upgraded one..lol... there was 2 indians playing the very interesting instruments, it was really great especially when they starts jamming... watch the videos in my multiply

the 2nd workshop we joined, "Heavy Metal"..... and....basically, it was all "heavy" metal instruments like the gongs and kchiinnnggg kchiinnnnggg.... These artists from Trinidad&Tobago were awesome.. they've played some pretty music... let's see


and so, the 3rd session, we decided to stay inside air conditioned room..lol, that is the theater, The Harps performance... err... according to the timetable, it was suppose to be 2 more harp ist.... but ended up this African artist alone, (actually i'm not sure if this is a harp or there's another name for it, cos as much as i understand, harp is the bow and string type of instrument play by angels or fairies we always see....but i guess this is another version of it really....) sorry couldnt remember his name, and according to the workshop introducer, the other two never get on their plane to Sarawak which probably still in one of the airport somewhere in the Columbus....

hah~ so he's the only one entertaining us all for the hour and....it is true that harp - not only a traditional instrument of the country, not only the culture, but it is everything about the country,so, that means....when the day Harp gone, it would probably the day their cultures and their country and the histories gone..... He was trying to explain as much as he could as english isnt his mother tongue, he said when in their culture, they never go to school, parents teach them through songs, through music.....and according to him, this instrument were suppose to be played by women, but whenever the women went out for performance, they never return....since then the men took back and play, so the women stay at home taking care of kids... he was beaten for not playing well enough or not learning, but now he realize his dad is right... he said he like here...he likes it bcos of the culture.....where we didnt catch wat he said at the beginning "cal-tor" "cal-tor" that's wat he said....

The 11th Rainforest World Music Festival......It is a place and festival where all the people around the world who appreciate traditional music and their cultures, this is where all of them gather....and there was a Art&Crafts Gallery, there were stalls from Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Denmark, etc...and i bought a miniature from Kyrgyzstan...see, there's a place i never heard of.. ahaha..it's a small area between China and Russia....under the government of Russian, they looks Mongolian btw...

We did enjoy the workshop, and for the concert at night, i think the most thing we enjoyed was the rain...LOL, has been a while since we get entirely wet "naked".
